NOTICE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

WATERHOUSE LANE (C135) KINGSWOOD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2010

 

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles from proceeding along that length of Waterhouse Lane (C135), Kingswood, as extends from its junction with Brighton Road (A217) to its junction with Bonsor Drive (B2032).

 

Access for pedestrians and residents will be maintained at all times as will access for emergency vehicles in an emergency situation only.

 

The Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works and will come into force on 1 August 2010, for a period of twelve months. However, the Order will only be operative while the relevant signs are displayed and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within one day, during the period of operation of the Temporary Order.

 

The alternative route for traffic will be via Brighton Road (A217 and Bonsor Drive (B2032), or this route in reverse.

Surrey Highways (East Area) proposes the making of a Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to restrict traffic from entering part of Waterhouse Lane (C135), Kingswood. Please find attached a copy of the Public Notice that will appear in the local press this week and a copy of the plan indicating the length of road affected together with the diversion route.
